Prof. Dr. Daniel C. Johnson

Dr. Daniel C. Johnson is Professor of Music and Music Education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, USA. A Fulbright Scholar with twenty-five years of teaching experience spanning the PK - university gamut, Dr. Johnson is an international authority on music education pedagogy. An expert in Orff-Schulwerk and a professional tuba-euphonium performer, he has presented teacher education workshops through the world. A graduate of the New England Conservatory and the University of Arizona, he has published in numerous eminent journals including The Journal of Research in Music Education and The Bulletin of the Council for Research in Music Education. His most recent book chapters appear in The Oxford Handbook of Assessment Policy and Practice in Music Education and Applying Model Cornerstone Assessments in K–12 Music: A Research-Supported Approach.
